YIIM In Cooperation with Insight Investments Management and LPP Yogyakarta Polytechnic Provide Basic Food Assistance and Child Compensation at the Graha Yatim Yogyakarta Orphanage

On Saturday 23rd March 2024, the Foundation of Inspiration for Indonesia Development (YIIM) supported by Insight Investments Management Company (INSIGHT) in collaboration with the Yogyakarta Plantation Education Polytechnic Institute (LPP) organized social assistance in the month of Ramadhan with the theme “Gempita Ramadhan” for orphans in orphanages Graha Yatim which is located at Parangtritis Street No.178 A, RT.04/RW.11, Mantrijeron, Kec. Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta City, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

The Ramadhan social assistance took the form of providing 70 takjil packages and boxes of rice to iftar; 1 package of basic necessities in the form of sugar, cooking oil, rice, instant noodles and snacks; then 30 compensation money for poor orphans.

As a form of collaboration and support for YIIM-INSIGHT scholarship recipients in the year of 2024 socio-humanitarian religious program for the month of Ramadhan, this program was initiated by 10 YIIM-INSIGHT scholarship recipients studying at the LPP Yogyakarta Polytechnic.

In its implementation, this activity was attended online by Mr. Oni Apriyanto, S.P., M.Sc as Deputy Director III for Student Affairs, 10 students who received YIIM-INSIGHT scholarship, the LPP Polytechnic UKM Management team (BKI). Yogyakarta, Mr Chrisbiantoto, S.H., LL. MM. as Chair of the Management of YIIM, as well as 30 poor orphans.

Furthermore, Mr. Chrisbiantoro as Chairman of the YIIM Management in his speech said:

“We really appreciate the good initiative of our student scholarship recipients at the LPP Yogya Polytechnic. This Ramadhan program initiated by young people is in line with the Ramadhan program held by YIIM & INSIGHT. “Hopefully this assistance activity can slightly alleviate the needs of orphaned children.”

Then, from the representative of the LPP Yogyakarta Polytechnic campus, Mr. Oni Apriyanto, S.P., M.Sc as Deputy Director III for Student Affairs, added:

“We are very honored to be able to work with YIIM and INSIGHT in making contributions to the nation and state. Hopefully this social assistance activity will be useful. We are also very grateful for providing opportunities for our students with scholarship assistance”

This event is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, especially SDGs Number 2 concerning Preventing Hunger.

This Ramadhan social assistance program is the first part of a series of programs for the month of Ramadhan in the year of 2023 with the theme “Gempita Ramadhan” and has taken place in several locations in the provinces of DKI Jakarta, Depok City, Yogyakarta and Madura. Where various forms of activities have been carried out, including; sharing packages for breaking the fast, takjil, compensation, basic necessities, worship equipment, free AC cleaning service at mosques and orphanages, and free haircut.

YIIM as a non-profit organization is open to support and collaboration with various parties so that more people can benefit from YIIM’s programs and the wider the inspiration that YIIM can spread to help develop Indonesia.
