In the theme of the Inspiring Movement for Empowerment and Transformation of Hope (GEMPITA) Ramadhan Program “GEMPITA RAMADHAN” the Foundation of Inspiration for Indonesia Development (YIIM) in cooperation with Insight Insight Investments Management Company (PT Insight Investments) provided humanitarian social assistance, in the form of packages for iftar, compensation for orphans, mosque’s AC cleaning service and a free haircut. This program is in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) SDGs Number 2 to prevent hunger and SDGs Number 17 Partnership to achieve the goal.
On Wednesday 27th March 2023 located at Sampan Bujana Sentra, Teuku Cik Ditiro II Street No.1, Gondangdia, District. Menteng, Central Jakarta City, YIIM in cooperation with Insight Investments Company organized “Iftar with YIIM Alumni and Compensation Assistance for Orphans” embracing the spirit of solidarity and friendship amidst the blessings of the month of Ramadan. By inviting YIIM alumni, this event aims to strengthen ties between members and build a stronger community.
The event was also attended by the YIIM Management Board, YIIM Board of Trustees, YIIM assisted alumni, as well as donors and partners. Meanwhile, YIIM Management Board was attended by Chrisbiantoro as Chair of the Management and Riccana Rosita as Treasurer, and the YIIM Advisory Board was attended by Irfan Melayu, Mery T.P. Hutagalung and Masitoh.
YIIM’s partners include, CT ARSA Foundation, TITAN BAKING, Bekasi City Mosque Taklim Council Coordinating Board (BKMM), South Jakarta Jakpreneur, South Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Sub-Department (PPAPP Sub-Department). This event was attended by representatives of YIIM and INSIGHT entrepreneurship class alumni, namely barista class alumni, barber class alumni, culinary class alumni, and make-up class alumni.
The event began with remarks from the Chairman of the YIIM Management, Chrisbiantoro. In his speech, he said, “YIIM is grateful to INSIGHT as the main partner and other partners who continue to believe in and support humanitarian programs, especially in the month of Ramadhan. The Ramadhan Blessing Program is a routine program held by YIIM every year to share with others. “Hopefully YIIM will continue to spread kindness, provide benefits and inspiration through our programs.”
After the opening remarks, the handover of compensation assistance was continued to 12 orphans from the Putra Setia Orphanage, located on Kramat Sentiong Street, Kramat, District. Senen, Central Jakarta City. Apart from compensation, dolls were provided which were donated by BKMM Bekasi City. The handover ceremony was given directly by the Management Board and the YIIM Board of Trustees. On the same day, YIIM and Insight Investments also provided basic food packages to the Putra Setia Orphanage which contained, among other things, rice, oil, milk, eggs, kitchen spices and snacks for the children.
Jointly Iftar is not just a ritual of eating together, but a moment filled with the meaning of solidarity, gratitude and reflection. YIIM alumni, as holders of cherished ideals and values, are here to share experiences, inspiration and support. This activity provides a platform for alumni to exchange success stories, obstacles they have overcome, as well as recommendations and input for various future YIIM activities.
